Co-ordinating Group
The role of the Co-ordinating Group is to oversee the implementation of an effective LINk in Staffordshire and includes responsibility to direct the work of the LINk and to support and enable groups and individuals carry out the work of the LINk. Its role is to ensure the work plan is fully implemented and monitored; ensuring key stakeholders are represented; establishing work plan project groups and allocating resources from the LINk budget. Responsibility for the implementation of the Governance Framework which sets out how the LINk functions together with clear roles and responsibilities, and any revisions to it; standards of conduct within the LINk including disciplinary measures.
The Co-ordinating Group of the LINk will comprise a group of people with a range of skills, knowledge and experience which, when combined, can be used to guide the LINk effectively and make timely and appropriate decisions. The Co-ordinating Group is collectively responsible for the success of Staffordshire LINk and includes responsibility to maintain financial viability, ensuring high levels of probity and value for money and delivering high standards of governance, ensuring that the LINk meets its duties under the legislation. The Co-ordinating Group will be accountable to the LINk for its activities and decisions and also ensures that the role of the Host organisation is respected.
The Co-ordinating Group will have 11 members who will be individual representatives of communities and representatives from voluntary and community sector organisations. This is to ensure that in line the LINk legislation and guidance that both individuals and groups are represented at the heart of Staffordshire LINk governance arrangements. The Co-ordinating Group will have specific roles and responsibilities for the following:
· Chair and CRB process joint lead
· Vice Chair and CRB process joint lead
· Contract monitoring lead
· Training lead
· Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee liaison lead
· Equality and Diversity lead
· Finance and Audit lead
· Community Engagement and partnerships lead
· Communications, PR and Media lead
· Legislation, policy and governance lead
· Entering and Viewing services lead.
Once the selection workshop has taken place on 8th June, and appointments to the above roles made, details of the Co-ordinating Group members will be added to the LINk’s website.
